Make Them Suffer Announce 'Suffer Forever' Headline Tour

Fresh off their run supporting Bring Me The Horizon in some of the country’s most prestigious arenas, Make Them Suffer have announced a huge tour of their own for later this year.

The six-gig trek will begin in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Friday August 30, when the metalcore heavyweights take over The Tivoli. They’ll play the King Street Bandroom in Newcastle (Awakabal) the following night (August 31), before kicking September off at the Roundhouse in Sydney (Eora) on the night after that (September 1).

From there, Make Them Suffer will make the trek down to Melbourne (Naarm) to play the Forum on Thursday September 5, then head over to Adelaide (Kaurna) for a show at the Hindley Street Music Hall the next day (September 6). Finally, they’ll wrap things up at Metropolis in Fremantle (Boorloo) on Saturday September 7.

Joining the band for all six shows will be UK titans Bury Tomorrow, US moshlords Spite, and Australia’s own Bloom. Tickets go on sale at 11am local time next Thursday (May 23) following a presale that kicks off at the same time next Tuesday (May 21) – head here to sign up for that, or bookmark this link for the general sale.

In a press release, Make Them Suffer vocalist Sean Harmanis said of his excitement for the upcoming run: “Following our European festival circuit, an amazing North American tour and of a life-changing Australian tour in support of Bring Me The Horizon, we’ve been aching to follow up all these incredible opportunities with a headliner of our own. We can’t wait wait to bring our live show back home for all fans, new and old, and we can’t wait to take things to the next level.”

The news comes just over a month after Make Them Suffer dropped their most recent single, Epitaph, as the follow-up to last year’s standalone effort Ghost Of Me. The band are said to be hard at work on their fifth studio album, building on the milestones they hit with 2020’s How To Survive A Funeral.

Reviewing a show of theirs in 2022, Rod Whitfield wrote for TheMusic.com.au: “The sound is catastrophic, although melodic and dynamic at the same time, and their stagecraft displays a band that has been around and toured like road dogs for well over a decade. Iron-lunged and enigmatic frontman Sean Harmanis is in particularly fine fettle as he prowls the stage and howls like his very life depends on it.”
