Man accused of running Albuquerque shoplifting ring to stay in jail

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man accused of being behind a massive Albuquerque shoplifting ring will remain in custody. Deputies say Raul Garcia organized thefts of thousands of dollars of merchandise at multiple stores. They say the thieves took the stolen items to Garcia who then resold them.

Last week, an undercover deputy told KRQE News 13 that they spent nearly a year tracking him down. Garcia is facing organized retail crime, money laundering, and racketeering charges.
