May 10 is last day for Bernalillo County residents to pay second half of property taxes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The deadline for Bernalillo County residents to pay the second half of their property taxes is May 10. Property taxes not paid before the deadline will become delinquent.

Bernalillo County says all payments, including by mail, must be postmarked to the county Treasurer’s office no later than May 10. Any payments made after the deadline will be delinquent and with a penalty and interest added to the amount of property tax already owed.

Residents an pay online through the county treasurer’s payment portal. Residents can mail their payment postmarked no later than May 10, to the Treasurer’s Office at Bernalillo County Treasurer, PO Box 27800, Albuquerque, NM, 87125. Payments can be made in person at Alvarado Square in downtown Albuquerque. There are also turquoise painted drop boxes located around the county for taxpayers to drop off their payments. Payments must include parcel number and address on the check or money order.
