Last week, we got into favorite album titles, this week I wanna continue that trend, but with album artwork. Album artwork arguably began with record albums… it was a way for artists to attach a visual to their work. Sometimes, this was done in a straightforward, just showing the face of the artist, perhaps holding their instruments and smiling while looking into the camera. But, as time has gone on, things have gotten much more creative… sometimes the musician will partner with an artist to formulate something that they feel fits the cohesive aesthetic of the album and often the musician is nowhere in sight! As we move into an era where the album is less important and everything is more digital, sometimes individual images get created for each song — occasionally a thread kinda ties them all together. In any case, I wanna hear see y’all’s favorite album artwork; if it’s not a traditional album but rather artwork related to an artist, that’s totally fine too. Of course, as always, feel free to step outside the suggested them and share something else. By the way, please steer clear of artwork that may violate our guidelines… if you want to show something that you think is borderline inappropriate, then please put a warning in your message and just link to the photo elsewhere!
