NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A man who police say tried to light his house on fire while his children were inside will stay behind bars until his trial. Police say earlier this month, that Eric Rivera of Hernandez, New Mexico woke up angry and shouting at his mother who lives with him.
Rivera’s three children were in the house when investigators say he attempted to start the home on fire multiple times while threatening to kill everyone inside. Rivera has been charged with attempted murder.
