NMDOT hosting public meeting on ‘S-curve’ portion of Albuquerque I-25

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The so-called “S-curve” on I-25 is a notoriously dangerous stretch of freeway just south of the Big-I. Now, the state’s department of transportation is ready to give the public a few options for improving the segment of roadway.

On April 24, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will host a meeting at the Central New Mexico Community College Smith Brasher Hall (717 University Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). The meeting will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Members of the public can submit comments at the meeting. You can also comment by emailing study@i25scurve.com, or by calling 505-600-2232, or by mailing comments to 6001 Indian School Road NE, Ste. 250, Albuquerque, NM 87110.

NMDOT says they will post meeting materials online after the April 24 meeting for those who cannot attend. The overall goal of the project is to improve safety while “minimizing community impacts,” NMDOT says.
