One of World’s Largest Companies Coming to Romania

The English oil giant bp, with annual revenues almost as much as Romania’s GDP, is preparing to enter our country, where it will invest in solar energy.

The largest solar energy developer in Europe, the British company Lightsource BP, is preparing its entry into Romania, after the control of the business will be fully taken over by the British oil giant bp (formerly British Petroleum), an annual business of over 200 billion pounds and almost 100,000 employees, reports Profit.
The transaction is expected to close in the middle of this year.
Lightsource was launched in 2010 as a startup with 6 employees, today headquartered in London with offices in Madrid, Milan, Athens, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Mumbai, New Delhi, Cairo, Melbourne, Amsterdam, Bath, Belfast and Dublin, with 1,200 employees.
At the moment, Lightsource bp has a portfolio of 8 GW of dollar projects in various stages of development in 19 countries.
