One Piece’s consists of pirates friom notorious crews like Whitebeard and Roger Pirates to more goofy ones like Buggy Pirates, audiences have seen their fair share of pirate crews in the anime.
Luffy, the protagonist of the series, has his crew as well. Several pirates joined the Straw Hats. However, for a crew to function correctly, each member should do their respective jobs. These jobs can vary from being a navigator to manning the canons, but we will learn about who the navigator is in Straw Hat Pirates.
Nami is the primary navigator of the Straw Hats in One Piece
A navigator’s primary responsibility is to navigate the ship properly. These responsibilities include a lot of things such as planning the route, advising the captain, or anticipating hazards that can happen on the route from both climatic and geomatics that are avoided.
At the start of One Piece, Nami was introduced to the audience during the Orange Town Arc. She tricked Luffy and joined his crew to loot their resources. She was a part of the Arlong Pirates back then. Nami wanted to reclaim her village from the Arlong Pirates.
She was the second member to join Luffy’s crew. He wasn’t aware of Nami’s situation. However, once he got to know, Luffy helped her get her village back and defeated the Arlong Pirates. That marked the end of the arc. Nami aspired to map the entire world, and she joined the Straw Hat pirates to achieve her dream.
Nami has been the navigator for the Straw Hat pirates for a long time now. She has wisely led them on adventures and is one of the best female characters in One Piece. Nami was considered to be a weak character at the start. Yet, she has proved herself otherwise with her Sorcery Clima-Tact. Nami is becoming powerful and proving her worth as one of the main members of the Straw Hat Pirates.
