The Libertines man will host three nights in Manchester and London to mark the fifth anniversary of his record label Strap Originals.

Over the three nights at The White Hotel (May 28) and the 100 Club in the capital (29,30) Doherty will take part in a Q&A about his life, his music and his vision for the label.

A host of the label’s artists including Trampolene, Andrew Cushin, Vona Vella, Evan Williams will also perform over the three day period. You can view the full line-up below and purchase tickets here.

Strap Originals was launched in 2017 with the release of Doherty & The Puta Madres’ self titled album. The label has gone on to release six Top 10 Independent Albums by Cushin, Trampolene and Doherty, along with critically acclaimed albums by Vona Vella, PREGOBLIN and Real Farmer.

Strap Originals is a stand-alone Independent label owned by Doherty and his manager Jai Stanley.

Meanwhile, The Libertines recently topped the UK album charts for the first time in over two decades with their latest album ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’.

The band’s first and only time reaching peak position until now was back in 2004, when they shared their now-iconic eponymous album ‘The Libertines’.

Reviewing ‘…Eastern Esplanade’, NME gave the album a four-star rating and wrote that “the sense of listening in on a band teetering on the precipice of disaster is gone, replaced by a more stable and necessarily safer version of The Libertines”.

Ahead of its release, The Libertines spoke to NME in October about the album, with Carl Barât explaining that the band were all “facing in the same direction” for this record.

“There’s been a lot of focus and everyone’s been working on finding their own personal place in the world as well. Everyone has very different lives and we managed to find something to unite over,” he said.

To celebrate the release, the indie giants recently added some new dates to their 2024 UK and Ireland headline tour – find all the details here.
