Prabhas, who became a pan-India star with the Baahubali film franchise, is getting back to a more local setting in the upcoming movie The Raja Saab. Helmed by Maruthi, the movie is an awaited collaboration between the director and the actor. So far, very few details about the movie have been disclosed, but rumors around it are rife in the film circles. The latest one claims that the movie has been delayed.
The Telugu actor has a number of movies in the pipeline. Besides the upcoming movie, he is currently gearing up for Kalki 2898 AD. He also has Salaar 2, Spirit, and Kannappa in his kitty. Due to his busy schedule, the production of The Raja Saab is allegedly being affected.
Prabhas’ busy schedule affects The Raja Saab?
Per OTTplay, director Prashanth Neel has decided to begin the Salaar 2 shoot soon. Therefore, Prabhas has asked Maruthi to postpone the dates for The Raja Saab. However, no official announcement regarding this has been made yet. Moreover, Prashanth Neel is also set to focus on his upcoming project with Jr NTR.
For the unversed, The Raja Saab is a horror movie. In an interview with Variety, director Maruthi said, “The Raja Saab stands as one of my most ambitious projects to date.” “We are geared up to offer our audiences a grand horror experience. Having Prabhas on board is particularly special as his electrifying screen presence infused with our horror narrative is sure to leave audiences amazed.”
In January, on the occasion of Sankranti, the makers of The Raja Saab announced the movie’s title with a new poster. The poster shows Prabhas in casual clothes walking on a street. A grin on his face hints that the movie is going to be a comedy.
The release date for Raja Saab has not yet been announced. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
