Promelek XXI is counting on 25 per cent growth of business in the segment of renewable energy solutions

In the context of an increased global interest in sustainability solutions, the Cluj company PROMELEK XXI, one of the main players in the local electrical equipment market, part of the Spanish Elektra group, announces the expansion of its initiatives for energy efficiency.

With a vast portfolio of advanced technologies, Promelek XXI aims to capitalize on the opportunities in the PNRR and AFM programs, focusing on charging solutions for electric vehicles and photovoltaic systems adapted to industrial needs. These initiatives are expected to generate an increase in turnover in the green solutions segment by more than 25%.

“We are seeing increasing interest from customers in our energy efficiency and green solutions. In 2024, we aim to strengthen this direction and make significant contributions to the transition to a more sustainable and efficient economy, in the context in which we estimate that the profile market amounts to approx. 100 million euros”, said Remus Hațegan, CEO of Promelek XXI.

Green charging for the mobility of the future Promelek XXI offers charging solutions for electric vehicles, with a focus on the development of fast and slow charging station infrastructure. Through strategic partnerships, the company aims to provide efficient and scalable solutions for the growing needs of electric vehicle fleets, targeting the segment of transport and logistics players. Also, another important segment is represented by the public domain, municipalities and all that means territorial administrative units, which will access or have accessed the PNRR and AFM programs or other types of charging station projects.

“In Romania, the potential for the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure is significant, as the country aspires to reach the European Union’s goals regarding the quota of ecological vehicles. In this context, an increase in investments from the state is expected, through subsidies and dedicated financing programs. The market of ecological charging stations is in its infancy in Romania, with a significant expansion expected in the next three years”, says Remus Hațegan.

He also pointed out that currently the number of charging stations for electric vehicles in the national territory is 270, with projections estimating an increase to at least 650 units by 2026. Also, the demand for electric charging solutions is on the rise, with an acceleration expected in 2024, with the implementation of the state-funded Electric Up 2 program. Demand and sales of electric charging stations are expected to increase by at least 30-40% in the coming period.

Photovoltaic solutions for a sustainable future

The global, as well as the local, market for photovoltaic solutions continues to experience exponential growth, fueled by increasing demand for renewable energy sources and government initiatives to reduce carbon emissions. In Romania, the adoption of photovoltaic technologies is stimulated by subsidies and strict sustainability targets, which encourage both individual consumers and industries to invest in solar energy systems. Forecasts indicate a doubling of installed solar panel capacity over the next five years, reflecting the growing commitment to the green energy transition.

“Modern industry is in an accelerated transition towards the adoption of green energy solutions, and photovoltaic panels and green systems have become key elements in this transformation. The various branches of the manufacturing industry, including manufacturers of passenger cars, air conditioning equipment and car equipment, represent sectors with a significant potential for adopting these technologies”, Remus Hațegan also declared.

Monitoring energy consumption in industrial processes is an essential component of energy efficiency solutions. Industrial users want to have real-time control over energy consumption in order to identify and correct any anomalies that could affect efficiency and operational costs.

“The manufacturing industry represents one of the segments with the greatest potential for adopting green solutions, and our company is ready to meet the needs of this sector. By collaborating with customers to implement customized energy efficiency solutions, we are committed to helping reduce the carbon footprint and increase sustainability in industrial processes. We want to continue to be a reliable partner for our customers in adopting sustainable practices”, concluded the company representative.

PROMELEK XXI started its activity in 1996, in Cluj-Napoca, under the name Promod, offering complete solutions for low and medium voltage electrical installations and a full range of technical-commercial and logistic services. Since 2011, Promod has become part of the Elektra group from Spain, one of the most prestigious players on the international market of electrical installations and equipment, and in 2016 the company will change its name to the current one. PROMELEK XXI imports and distributes exclusively in Romania brands such as Baks, Dietzel Univolt, PCE and TEM. It is also one of the most important distributors for the Legrand and Schneider brands. Also present in the industrial segment with a series of internationally renowned brands such as Weidmüller, Rittal and Siemens, they offer partners a complete portfolio of solutions and alternatives in the field of electrical installations and equipment.
