Romantic C-drama Reblooming Blue released its first set of episodes on May 8, 2024. The drama features popular actors Victoria Song and Vic Zhou in the lead roles. It tells the story of Chen Xiao Man (Victoria Song) flourishing under the guidance of her superior, Ke Yan (Vic Zhou). She returns to her hometown after losing her job in the city. Ke Yan encourages her to make an attempt at entrepreneurship.
The first episode focuses on Xiao Man losing her job after a co-worker plays dirty tricks. Ke Yan comes to visit Xiao Man, who accuses him of using her. She feels that he pushed her away after pretending that she was the most important person to him. She recalls the time he asked her to marry him and encouraged her to pursue her dream. Ke Yan tries to make her understand that he truly loves her. Xiao Man is not ready to listen to him, and she feels he has betrayed her. She turns him down by saying their destinations are completely different.
The next scene takes viewers on a trail of incidents that have led to the present. Xiao Man is stuck at her office, working till late at night. After reaching home, her friends surprise her on her birthday. It is revealed that Xiao Man has cut down on expenses like food or clothing to save up. She wishes to buy shares of her family business to help out her parents.

The next day at work, one of the co-workers of Xiao Man, Pang Juan, who is pregnant, asks her for some help with the annotation for her project in exchange for money. Xiao Man hesitates at first but gives in after hearing about her situation. She helps her friend, risking her own job as they work for different teams. In a complicated turn of events, Pang Juan’s superior catches her. In the face of questioning, she spills Xiao Man’s name. The superior advises her to put the whole blame on Xiao Man, and she won’t fire her.
The company accuses Xiao Man of breaching the confidentiality of the projects. When Ke Yan hears about the situation, he rushes to the office. Xiao Man begs him to help her and promises not to repeat the action. But Ke Yan refuses to take the fall for her.
Pang Juan shows no sign of remorse and calls the situation a misfortune. Xiao Man plays a recording where Pang Juan is heard asking for her help with the project. But she mentions that she does not wish to leak the recording.
Pang Juan receives a verbal warning from the company. Xiao Man, on the other hand, gets the pink slip as she had accepted money in exchange for doing the project for Pang Juan. Ke Yan also suffers the blow as all his projects get transferred to the other team.
Although Xiao Man feels lost at first, she decides not to get hung up on her past. She decides to quickly start looking for a new job as she wishes to help her father rerun his factory.
