The rumors surrounding Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 have indeed kept the audience on their toes, with conflicting reports about its release date and potential changes in hosting. Amidst this confusion, recent reports suggest that other Bollywood actors might replace Salman Khan as the host in the upcoming season.
Initial reports from the Indian Express hinted that the makers had decided not to air the third season this year. One potential reason behind this decision could be viewer overexposure, as the franchise concluded its Season 17 in January.
However, an Instagram page, The Khabri, later confirmed that Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 will premiere in the first week of June. The page captioned, “EXCLUSIVE AND CONFIRMED by #TheKhabri Finally #BiggBossOTT3 is Coming. And this time with many twists and turns for the audience too. Premiere is expected by the first week of June.” Additionally, unlike previous seasons, Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 might be exclusively available for JioCinema subscribers.

Earlier reports suggested that Salman Khan might not host the upcoming show, but some potential contenders will take over the hosting duties. Names such as Elvish Yadav, Manisha Rani, and Abhishek were rumored to be possible contenders for hosting duties. However, recent reports from Pinkvilla have confirmed that Salman Khan is currently facing scheduling conflicts. The makers are keen on having him onboard but have approached other Bollywood celebrities as backup hosts.
According to Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Salman Khan is facing date issues; however, makers are keen on having him onboard. In case Khan’s schedule doesn’t work out, makers have approached Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, and Karan Johar to host the show.”
Karan Johar previously hosted Bigg Boss OTT Season 1, while Sanjay Dutt hosted Season 5 of the franchise. Reportedly, he is busy with his shooting schedule and has yet to finalize a deal with the makers. As for Anil Kapoor, discussions with the makers are pending, and Sanjay Dutt will meet with the producers soon.
