Who is Sharmin Segal?
Sharmin’s lineage is steeped in Hindi cinema. She is the daughter of film editor Bela Segal and studio executive Deepak Segal. Furthermore, she is the granddaughter of the legendary Hindi director Mohan Segal. She is also the niece of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who directed her in Heeramandi. She has further enriched her experiences by working under her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an assistant director. Additionally, Sharmin worked on major projects including Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Mary Kom, and Bajirao Mastani. Sharmin Segal graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York in 2019.
Sharmin maintains a low-key personal life away from the cameras, having married Indian businessman Aman Mehta in November 2023. The couple prefers to keep their life private, with Sharmin balancing her blossoming acting career with her new marital responsibilities.
