At the very end of Paul Cauthen’s Friday set at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Cauthen surprised fans with a surprise duet with singer Lana Del Rey.
Del Rey, who’d been in Indio two weekends before for Coachella, where she was a headliner, came out with the “Cocaine Country Dancing” singer for a performance of The Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody.”

Earlier in the day, Cauthen hinted at the surprise on his Instagram, where he posted a picture of Del Rey and his wife, Elizabeth Cauthen, on his Instagram Story, captioning the picture, “Queens.”
Del Rey announced earlier this year that she’s making a debut into country music with an upcoming album, “Lasso.” This isn’t the first time Del Rey has popped up at Stagecoach – in 2022, she performed with Nikki Lane.
