Tamil star Silambarasan TR has been making headlines for his alleged involvement in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming and awaited movie Thug Life. The movie marks the veteran actor’s reunion with filmmaker Mani Ratnam. While the movie’s cast is being discussed widely, its makers are gearing up for a new announcement. However, reports claimed that Salmaan and Jayam Ravi walked out of the movie due to scheduling issues. As a result, Silambarasan was allegedly cast to replace Dulquer Salmaan.

After a long wait, the makers are set to welcome a new Thug to the movie. The announcement about the new cast member will be made on May 8, 2024, at 10 am. The tweet from the makers read, “Its time for a New Beginning, let’s welcome the New Thug Tomorrow at 10 am.”
As the teaser read, “Sigma Thug Rules,” netizens believe that its initials match with Silambarasan TR’s name. One of the X (formerly Twitter) users wrote, “Waiting,” while another penned, “Code word accepted.”
Thug Life is currently in production, and its team is rigorously filming. Their pictures from the film’s sets were recently leaked online. Allegedly, the shoot schedule was taking place at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir in Aerocity, Delhi. The pictures featured Kamal Haasan in a white ensemble and a serious look. Silambarasan was also captured in the photos that confirmed his involvement in the film.
