Todrick Hall sells his Sherman Oaks house before trustee sale for $5M

Reality TV star Todrick Hall has avoided foreclosure by selling his Sherman Oaks home for $4.95 million.

Records show that the 8,000-square-foot house with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms closed on May 3 for 18% less than the latest asking price of just under $6 million, 11 days before the trustee sale.

The Notice of Trustee’s Sale dated April 11, 2024 estimated Hall owed just under $4.6 million, as viewed on PropertyShark.com.

Built on a three-quarter-acre-plus lot in 2018, the contemporary-style house has a rooftop deck with valley and mountain views. It backs up to a terraced backyard with a pool and spa lounge deck, fire pit, barbecue area, outdoor powder room and shower.

The house’s interior offers a spacious great room, a home theater and two kitchens, including one equipped with an espresso machine among its top-of-the-line appliances.

Pocket doors open from both sides of the primary suite on the upper level. The suite, accessible by a floating staircase or an elevator, boasts a fireplace, wet bar and a balcony overlooking the backyard.

Josh Morrow and Brooke Elliott of AKG / Christie’s International held the listing.  Peter Zimble of Carolwood Estates represented the unnamed buyer.

The deal comes nearly six months after the property hit the market in December at $8.5 million. Since then, the asking price dropped multiple times.

County records show Hall, 39, paid $6.1 million for the house in May 2022.

A notice of default was filed on May 17, 2023, according to Property Shark.

Hall’s big break came after a brief stint on the ninth season of “American Idol.” In 2015, he became the subject of the MTV docuseries “Todrick.” He went on to choreograph and occasionally judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” played Lola in the Broadway show “Kinky Boots” and later appeared as Billy Flynn in “Chicago” on Broadway and the West End.

Come July, Hall will headline San Diego Pride Festival with Rico Nasty and Sheila E.
