It has been over a decade since Vijay Deverkonda entered the film industry. The actor debuted with the 2011 movie Nuvvila but rose to prominence with Pelli Choopulu in 2016. Since then, the actor has been a part of several blockbuster movies. However, he recently started getting a ‘comfortable’ price for his movies. The actor has finally revealed how much he charged for his upcoming film Family Star.
Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations have backed the Parasuram directorial on a good budget. During the movie’s pre-release event, the actor often discussed his salary and mentioned how he received his payment beforehand. Here is how much the actor charged for the movie.
How much did Vijay Deverakonda charge for Family Star?
According to a video shared by Gulte.com, Vijay Deverakonda compared his previous movies’ salaries to peanuts. He revealed how it was his last movie, Kushi, from which he actually started making money. The actor said, “I am a star, but I started to see little money only recently, around Kushi. As an outsider, one shouldn’t think about money at first. One should worry about cementing his style, and performances; my work in the films should speak first. Outside, a lot is said about how much I am earning and all that. I earned peanuts till Kushi. Only after that film, I started taking my market price.”
When asked how much the price is, the actor said, “It is a comfortable market price.” Producer Dil Raju intervened to mention that the actor discussed his salary with him. “He discussed with the producer and said whatever will make all of us profitable will be the market price.” Moreover, the producer revealed that he has also signed two more projects with Deverakonda.
Family Star will be out in the theaters from April 5, 2024.
