ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The month of April has arrived and Lara Brockway from Visit Albuquerque has a list of some events happening around the city during April.

Albuquerque’s Birthday

April 20, from 12 – 4 p.m. at Old Town Plaza. Albuquerque is turning 318. People can enjoy plenty of special entertainment and performances, local food trucks and artisans, activities and all that that Old Town has to offer.

Great New Mexico Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival

April 20, from 12 – 5 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park. Over 30 of the areas most popular food trucks will be on hand along with dozens of regional and national breweries. There will be live music, plenty of different artisans and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Gathering of Nations

North America’s Largest Pow Wow, will be April 25-27 at Tingley Coliseum. Tribes from all over will be there for the 41st Gathering of Nations. the The event includes the Miss Indian World Contest, Indian Traders Market and much more.

Indigenous Food and Poetry

April 26, 27 from 4 – 10 p.m. at Tiny Grocer ABQ. Guests will be able enjoy plates and samples from over 15 Indigenous chefs from around the southwest and hear live indigenous poetry reading. There will also be a ticketed dinner Thursday, April 25.

South Valley Pride Day

April 28, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Westside Community Center. The community is invited out to celebrate the 31st annual South Valley Pride day. The event kicks off with a parade and features fiesta activities. There will be live music, a car show, dancing, food and drinks, artisan vendors and more for the community to enjoy.
