NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – As National Volunteer Week kicks off on Sunday, Valles Caldera National Preserve is asking for volunteers to join their team.
The park is looking for help with welcoming visitors, conducting plant surveys, support on trail projects and even assisting with research.
“I want to reach out and thank all of Valles Caldera’s volunteers, whether you came up for a day to help during National Public Lands Day in September or are a long-time volunteer,” said Superintendent Jorge Silva-Bañuelos. “We are honored that you have given your time and energy to support the park and make it a welcoming place for all to come and enjoy.”
Valles Caldera is now accepting volunteer applications.
