Friday morning is cool and drier. Clouds are clearing from southern New Mexico, and light showers near Lordsburg are ending. There are a few spots of patchy fog in northeast NM, near Grants and near Hobbs. The fog has been light, not causing major issues.
Friday will be a drier and warmer day. Temperatures will climb back to normal for mid-May, and skies will stay mostly sunny. Clouds will build in the mountains, and a few light showers will be possible this afternoon in the Sangre de Cristo, Sacramento and Gila mountains.

On Saturday, skies will start sunny, but clouds will move into central and northern NM during the afternoon and evening, with another chance for light showers in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Temperatures will warm even more, into the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Sunday will be a fully sunny, but the winds will start to pick up during the afternoon, to around 20 to 40 mph. Temperatures will be hot, even hitting triple digits in the southeast plains.
