Weeklong operation in Roswell ends in 17 arrests

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell Police and New Mexico State Police arrested 17 individuals in a weeklong operation from April 8 through April 12. The focus was on narcotics and felony crimes, State Police say.

“This operation sends a clear message that those who seek to harm our communities, we will find you, we will stop you, and we will bring you to justice. The arrests and seizures from this operation are a testament to the unwavering dedication of our law enforcement partnership,” New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler said in a press release.


Former prisoner transport officer sentenced for sexually assaulting detainees

In addition to the arrests, the officers recovered one stolen vehicles and took drugs off the streets. They collected 64 fentanyl pills, 30 grams of methamphetamine, and 15 grams of cocaine.
