The modern C-drama Will Love in Spring released episode five on April 24, 2024. It features Li Xian and Zhou Yutong in the lead roles. The episode primarily focuses on Chen Mai Dong (Li Xian) and Zhuang Jie (Zhou Yutong) finally starting to acknowledge having feelings for one another. Mai Dong encounters a bizarre incident at work where a client precludes the funeral service from taking his father’s body. While the other team members think he is insane, Mai Dong handles the situation like a true professional.
The Zhuang household is in chaos as Zhuang’s younger brother is leaving the house. Zhuang Jie is determined to help with development projects around the town. She accompanies Mr. He to the village to help him transport vegetables. She also promises to help the farmers sell those yams. In reality, she couldn’t get the thought of Mai Dong telling her that she never cared for the town out of her head. She is hell-bent on proving him wrong.
Soon, Zhuang Jie’s efforts bear fruit. She successfully promotes the village’s agricultural products and helps the town seal a contract. The townspeople hail her as a hero. Mai Dong’s grandmother invites Zhuang Jie for a meal at her house. But Mai Dong is annoyed when he sees Zhuang Jie sitting in his house. After his grandmother leaves, Zhuang Jie announces that she can not stay in Nanping for long as life in the town is too slow.

Mai Dong gets angry and asks her to leave. But Zhuang Jie stays. She asks him how he sees her. Mai Dong answers that he feels Zhuang Jie does not take life seriously. His words hurt her deeply, and she left. Mai Dong apologizes to her over text and promises to buy her dinner.
At dinner, Zhuang Jie attempts to have a conversation with Mai Dong. She asks him why he has so many stereotypes about her. They catch up on what they have been up to. Slowly, Mai Dong starts to open up. He tells her that his profession demands that he always stay alert. As they talk more, he begins to appreciate her company and even takes part in jokes. Mai Dong can see that she has changed a lot as a person.
As they part ways, Zhuang Jie advises Mai Dong not to let people hold him back. From her own experience as a disabled person, she advises him to choose a partner who accepts him with all his flaws. While passing by his high school, Mai Dong recalls his high school days. His teacher assigned him the task of helping Zhuang Jie as a punishment for getting into fights with his classmates. They slowly learned to rely on one another.
In episode five of Will Love In Spring, Mai Dong comes to the railway station to bid Zhuang Jie farewell the following day. He helps her with her luggage. As he prepares to leave, Zhuang Jie follows him, and the duo share a soulful kiss.
