The plot revolves around young director Raphaël Valande as he tries to put together his first project and faces a litany of issues, including sabotage by a member of the crew. By the end of Season 1, the story seems complete. Just when it appears that everyone will be alright, one member (spoilers warning) of the behind-the-scenes film crew falls several floors below. It is heavily implied that he is dead.

In other shows, this ending might have served as a launchpad for a future season. However, in Fiasco, it’s just part of a larger series of disastrous events, serving as a perfect epilogue to this incredible story.
