Will There Be a Twilight 6 Release Date & Is It Coming Out?

It has been over twelve years since The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn was released to the public. Since then, fans of the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart-starring franchise have been wondering if a Twilight 6 was in the works and whether it would be coming out in the future with a release date on the cards.

Here’s all we know about Twilight 6 and whether or not it’s coming out.

Is there a Twilight 6 release date?

There is no Twilight 6 release date as the series has ended after five films.

The Twilight Saga film series originally ran for four films from 2008 to 2012. Since then, there have not been any concrete or official confirmations about a Twilight 6 being in the works.

Moreover, if Twilight 6 were to happen, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would have to be brought back. This would prove difficult since Pattinson and Stewart have found success and a lot of work in a multitude of projects since their time in the Twilight franchise.

However, back in 2016, Lionsgate co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger mentioned in a ScreenDaily interview at the time that a sequel or more films could happen if Twilight author and book series creator Stephanie Meyer wanted it to happen, saying “It’s a possibility, Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”

Despite Stephanie Meyer’s release of the Midnight Sun Twilight companion novel in 2020, retelling the first book’s story from Edward Cullen’s perspective, there have not been any confirmed plans to adapt this into a film as of 2024.

Since Twilight 6 has not been confirmed, there is no official cast for the film.

Why Twilight 6 might not be happening?

Twilight 6 isn’t coming out because as mentioned above, the series ended after five films that were released between 2008 and 2012.
