Wind Breaker Episode 2 recap

The episode starts with Sakura helping an old lady get to Kotoha’s restaurant. Upon arriving, Kotoha teases him for being too excited to start school. However, their conversation was interrupted by Nirei, who is also a freshman attending Furin. Sakura is shocked by the fact that someone like that would be attending Furin, but Kotoha tells him not to judge based on appearance.
As Sakura walks through town, he is greeted by many friendly faces thanking him for saving him. Meanwhile, Nirei is beaten up for saving a girl from some thugs. Despite the beating, he doesn’t give up. Sakura arrives just in time to save him and beats up the thugs. Sakura, who has seen his determination, tells him he isn’t as lame as he thought, which makes him to cry.
Later, the two head to school. Upon arriving, they meet Suo, one of the strongest in their class. He heads over to them and congratulates Sakura for saving Kotoha and the town from the thugs. However, they are interrupted by Sugishita, who immediately attacks Sakura, ending the episode.
