WWE Producer Shane Helms, known as The Hurricane to fans, has shared details on CM Punk’s backstage behavior since his return. Punk returned to WWE last year at Survivor Series: War Games after AEW fired him due to a backstage altercation with Jack Perry.

During his controversial tenure in AEW, Punk reportedly engaged in a backstage altercation with The Elite. This resulted in suspensions for all parties involved in 2022. Punk’s time in AEW brought attention to his backstage behavior. WWE producer Shane Helms shared his experience working with CM Punk in WWE.

In an interview with Behind the Turnbuckle, Helms mentioned that he hasn’t heard anything negative about Punk’s behavior in WWE. He stated, “In terms of Phil backstage, he’s been a pleasure since he’s been back. I didn’t have problems with him to begin with, so I’m not surprised he’s been a pleasure with me, but I haven’t heard anything bad, either.”

Furthermore, he expressed surprise at CM Punk’s WWE return, citing past disagreements and controversies during Punk’s absence as reasons he didn’t expect the comeback. He also reflected on personal growth and how people’s views can change over time.

Update on CM Punk’s situation in WWE headquarters

While WWE was enjoying the premium live event Backlash in France, CM Punk, one of their biggest stars, was stuck in WWE headquarters in the US. WWE recorded the Countdown to WWE Backlash France pre-show from the US. The show featured Big E, CM Punk, and Jackie Redmond. However, following the show, CM Punk reported that he was locked in WWE headquarters on his Instagram story.

Fans wondered if Punk had managed to get out of WWE headquarters after being locked in. On his Instagram stories, he updated the fans. He joking stated, “I think I could just become the Phantom of the Opera. I think I could live in this place, and I don’t think anybody would know. I got lost. There are too many places to hide out. Anyway, to answer all of your questions, I am still here.”
