Earlier today, the REMOW distribution company announced that Yura Urushibara’s Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga will be getting an anime adaptation. Additionally, the announcement also revealed a new teaser, a key visual, and the anime cast.

Yura Urushibara launched his hit manga in 2020 with Akita Publishing’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine. Yen Press just got publishing rights and will begin releasing the manga on September 17. The manga’s popularity cannot be overstated, as it inspired a stage play that ran in Tokyo and Osaka in February.
Tougen Anki Anime: Everything You Need to Know
As mentioned earlier, REMOW announced that the anime adaptation of Tougen Anki has been green-lit. The highly anticipated anime adaptation is expected to be released in 2025. However, no exact release date has been made public as of the time of writing this article.
The cast members include Kazuki Ura, known for his role as Isagi Yoichi in Blue Lock, who will star as Shiki Ichinose. Hiroshi Kamiya, who stars as Naito Mudano, and Kōtarō Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki. However, no information has been released about the staff yet.
According to the press release by Remow, the series is described as follows:
“You inherit the blood of an Oni (demon)…”
The bloodlines of “Oni” and “Momotaro” have been passed down among certain humans for generations. Long ago, the Oni, aware of their own ferocity, lived in seclusion. However, their peace was shattered by an invasion led by Momotaro. Over thousands of years, these two factions formed the “Momotaro Agency” and the “Oni Agency,” respectively, and have been locked in conflict ever since.
The protagonist, Shiki Ichinose, suddenly learns of his Oni lineage following an unexpected attack by Momotaro. This revelation sets Shiki on a path to discover the destiny that lies within his blood — a meeting with the Oni dwelling within him.
