The modern C-drama Best Choice Ever released episode 22 on April 18, 2024. It features Xu Kai and Yang Zi in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Cheng Huan’s (Yang Zi) parents living in the house entrusted to Zhi Ming (Xu Kai). Cheng Huan’s mother makes efforts to fix her relationship with her daughter. She makes an elaborate meal for Cheng Huan but does not have the courage to deliver it herself. Mr. Mai can not understand why his wife remains stubborn when she cares about her daughter.
Meanwhile, Mai Cheng Huan introduces herself as the new owner of Xiang’anli in front of the staff members. But she doesn’t receive a warm welcome from everyone. Cheng Huan promises to offer her staff a better salary structure and make their work life comfortable. Cheng Huan meets her father and tells him about the ongoing conflicts between Xiang’anli and Yueda. She asks Mr. Mai to act clueless if Ms. Zhang, the CEO of Yueda, asks anything about Xiang’anli.
Cheng Huan’s father tells her that her mother feels guilty about how she treated her. Cheng Huan promises to visit her mother soon and makeup with her. Meanwhile, Zhi Ming continues to receive pressure from his superiors to improve relations with Xiang’anli.
Best Choice Ever Ep 22: Xu Kai and Yang Zi start to get along
He recalls how his grandmother had high hopes for him. She had also advised him to value human interaction the most. He sends a small gift to Cheng Huan to congratulate her.
The next day, Cheng Huan visits her parents at their new house. Her mother initially thinks that she has finally given in and has come to stay with them. But instead, Cheng Huan asks her to rent a new place. She tells her mother that the house legally belongs to Yao Zhi Ming. She requests her not to be stubborn as Mr. Yao will move in that day.
Mrs. Mai does not favor the idea of buying a new house. She thinks that it is a waste of money. Meanwhile, Zhi Ming arrives at the spot. He tells Cheng Huan that her parents can continue to live with him. Cheng Huan is hesitant at first but agrees in the end. She tells Zhi Ming she will persuade her parents to move out soon. Zhi Ming asks her to move in with them as well.
On episode 22 of Best Choice Ever, Zhi Ming’s diligence and good nature soon win over Mrs. Mai. He is welcoming towards them and also prepares an elaborate meal with them. She is also impressed with how he keeps the house clean and tidy.
Zhi Ming and Cheng Huan meet for a meal. They reminisce about the teachings passed on to them by their grandmother. Furthermore, they discuss strategies and ideas to further their business. Zhi Ming encourages Cheng Huan to pursue new strategies.
