BELEN, N.M. (KRQE) – A Belen man pleaded guilty in federal court to the armed robbery of six Albuquerque businesses. The 30-year-old man, Brandon Sanchez, is a previously convicted felon and was wanted for supervised release violation at the time of the robberies, according to the U.S. attorney for New Mexico.
The following robberies took place over the span of six days in 2023:
Jan. 4, 2023 – Little Ceasars at Montgomery Boulevard and San Pedro Drive
Jan. 4, 2023 – Subway at San Mateo Boulevard and McLeod Road
Jan. 8, 2023 – Little Ceasars at Montaño Road and Fourth Street
Jan. 9, 2023 – Starbucks at San Mateo Boulevard and Pan American Frontage Road
Jan. 9, 2023 – Big 5 Sporting Goods at Wyoming Boulevard and Paseo del Norte
Jan. 9, 2023 – Domino’s at Holly Avenue and San Pedro Drive

At the time of the crimes, Sanchez was on release after being convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. That conviction came about in 2022, and Sanchez served 27 months for the crime.
Now, Sanchez will be detained until he is sentenced. At sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled, Sanchez faces up to 20 years in prison and up to three years of supervised release.
