A Condition Called Love episode 3 recap

The episode starts with Hotaru telling Hibiki (or Kyo) that her and Hananoi’s relationship is still on trial. They are then joined by Tsukiha (or Shibamu) and pick up Hananoi at the bookstore, where he is waiting. Hotaru is flustered and tries her best to avoid him as she hides behind her friends. They head down to the shrine, and Hotaru prays to understand what love is.
Later, Kengo and Hananoi go to get snacks for the group. Kengo tries his best to bond with Hananoi, but the latter wants no part in it as he wants to keep Hotaru to himself. Hotaru looks for Hananoi, who gets separated from Kengo and finds him helping an old woman. The two decide to spend some time together before returning to the group.
Some days later, Hotaru gets a part-time job at a bookstore to try to learn more about Hananoi’s life. The latter comes to visit her and walks her home. Upon arriving at her house, he is asked by her mother to stay for dinner. They spend time talking in the room, and Hotaru reveals why she started working at the store. Moreover, the duo reveals stories about their time in elementary school and how hard it was. The episode ends with Hananoi leaving as Hotaru wonders when she will be able to recharge.
