Akfen Renewable Energy reportedly to enter Romania

A subsidiary of the Turkish infrastructure conglomerate Akfen Holding, founded by billionaire Hamdi Akin and now controlled by his children, is poised to enter the Romanian market for renewable energy production, profit.ro reports.

Akfen Renewable Energy, part of Akfen Holding, decided to establish a profile company in Romania, in partnership with the local construction company Devvis Services, with Turkish shareholders as well. 

Akfen Renewable Energy will own 85% of the capital of the new company, which aims to develop a photovoltaic park project with an installed power of about 10 MW in Romania. The value of the investment is estimated at 6.5 million euros.
