Alemany student-athletes make college choices official at Signing Day ceremony

Three Bishop Alemany student-athletes signed a National Letter of Intent or commitment letter during a Signing Day ceremony at Alemany on Monday.

Hanvin Lee signed with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for baseball. Lee is a 5-foot-11 catcher for Alemany.

Victoria Filippova made her choice of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point official for volleyball. Filippova helped the Warriors to a second-place finish in the Mission League this season and an appearance in the second round of the CIF SoCal Regional Division I state tournament.

Samantha Swerdloff is headed to Cal Lutheran for softball. Her .500 batting average leads the Warriors this season and she has a team-high 12 RBIs and 13 doubles in 56 at-bats.
