Russian ambassador to Romania, Valery Kuzmin, ends his term

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Bucharest, Valery Kuzmin, completed his diplomatic mission in Romania and left for Moscow. The announcement was made on Thursday by the Russian Embassy on its official Facebook page.

“Today, His Excellency Valery Kuzmin, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Romania, completed his diplomatic mission and left for Moscow for good. Until the arrival of the new ambassador, Mrs. Minister-Counselor Elena Kopnina is Charge of Affairs a.i. of the Russian Federation in Romania”, it is stated in the post of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bucharest.

Ambassador Valery Kuzmin was at his post in Romania since 2016. His wife died on Tuesday, following a cardio-respiratory arrest.
