The ongoing modern C-drama Best Choice Ever released episode 21 on April 18, 2024. This drama features Xu Kai and Yang Zi in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Zhi Ming (Xu Kai) confessing his feelings to Cheng Huan (Yang Zi). Cheng Huan works hard to take care of and further the business that her late grandmother entrusted her with. She bids farewell to her old co-workers. On her way back, she meets Zhi Ming, who asks her if she has made up her mind about Xiang’anli. Cheng Huan lets him know that she won’t change her mind. Zhi Ming wishes her luck and the duo part ways.
An unforeseen crisis regarding food poisoning occurs at the hotel. It threatens the reputation of the hotel and also might cause them significant loss. All the staff members feel discouraged by the incident. But Cheng Huan is not ready to back down. She encourages her staff not to feel disheartened and to keep working.
Cheng Huan contacts the PR team and cleverly handles the situation. Meanwhile, Zhi Ming approaches her to help her track down the rumormonger. But Cheng Huan can not trust him. She thinks that he has some sort of ulterior motive as he wants to inherit Xiang’anli.

Cheng Huan turns down Zhi Ming’s offer. But he asks her for a chance to prove his innocence. Eventually, she gives in. The duo, with the help of Cheng Huan’s brother, is able to find out who the real culprit is.
Meanwhile, Ms. Zhang Peisheng comes to visit Zhi Ming. She tells him that she is only helping Zhi Ming so that he can get Xiang’anli. Zhi Ming tells her that both Xiang’anli and Cheng Huan were entrusted to him by his grandmother and he won’t let anyone hurt them.
Cheng Huan asks Zhi Ming out for coffee to show gratitude. Cheng Huan asks him if he knew who was behind the controversy all along. Zhi Ming confesses to her that he had been collaborating with Zhang Peisheng all along to get his hands on Xiang’anli. Ms. Zhang wanted to be the CEO of Xiang’anli, and she had promised Zhi Ming a promotion. But he does not want to help her anymore. He asks her if she is willing to trust him.
Cheng Huan thanked him for being truthful. She tells him that he has been the reason why they could take prompt action against the issue. She apologizes to him for misunderstanding his intentions.
After listening to her quietly, Zhi Ming decides to open up. He tells her that he has developed feelings for her. His words surprise Cheng Huan, but she doesn’t know how to react. After returning home, Cheng Huan discusses the matter with her friend, Mao. She thinks that Zhi Ming wants to use Cheng Huan as a step to get Xiang’anli. Mao also teases Cheng Huan about being interested in Zhi Ming. But Cheng Huan refuses.
