Anupama Parameswaran’s Next Movie First Look & Title Revealed

Following the success of Tillu Square, Anupama Parameswaran is gearing up for her next projects. Recently, the title, first look, and concept video of her upcoming movie were revealed.

Director Praveen Kandregula, known for Cinema Bandi, is collaborating with Anupama on his next venture, Paradha. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj and DK unveiled the title, first look, and a title video. Alongside Anupama, the film features Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha in significant roles. Produced by Ananda Media, the film’s music department is handled by Gopi Sundar.

Anupama’s Paradha movie first look

On Friday, April 26, 2024, the makers of Paradha unveiled the film’s title, which means veil. The first look depicts Anupama standing with a group of girls wearing sarees and covering their faces with veils. Accompanied by a devotional song, the video slowly reveals the face of Anupama’s character, who has a despairing expression. 

Additionally, the video features a goddess idol covered with a piece of cloth. This first look promises to deliver a social message about the Pardanashin practice that women faced in the past. The Pardanashin practice restricted women from contact with the outside world, a tradition commonly followed in the old days.

Sharing the one-minute and five-second teaser, the lead actress took to her social media and expressed her excitement. She wrote, “When I said, I’d come to you with stories and characters like never before. I meant it. After the blockbuster Tillu Square, coming now with Paradha! Promising to leave you with an experience like never before. Promising to tell you a story like never before! A beautiful tale from the Director of CinemaBandi ~ @praveenfilms, Produced by @AnandaMediaOffl.”

Paradha is reportedly nearing the completion of its shoot. Starting next month, the film will be shot in Hyderabad. With anticipation mounting among audiences, it will be interesting to see when the makers will announce its theatrical release date.
