Attorney says Stormy Daniels expected to testify Tuesday in Trump’s hush money trial: Live updates

An attorney for Stormy Daniels confirmed to The Hill that the porn actor at the center of former President Trump’s hush money trial is expected to take the witness stand on Tuesday in Manhattan.

Her attorney Clark Brewster first told The Associated Press that his client was “likely” to testify during the trial’s third week of witness testimony.

The prosecution’s case largely rests on a $130,000 payment Daniels received from former Trump fixer Michael Cohen to keep quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump while he was making his 2016 bid for president.

So far, the prosecution has called more than 10 witnesses to the stand as the trial enters its third week of testimony. They’ve included a top Trump political adviser, a former tabloid executive, and an attorney with a host of celebrity links.
