Black Coffee, 2023 Man of the Year, Joins Untold Festival 2024

UNTOLD organizers announced a new name to the festival lineup, Grammy Award-winning artist, DJ and producer of South African origin, Black Coffee. With outstanding talent and an unconventional approach to electronic music, Black Coffee is one of the most respected DJ/producers in the underground culture. In 2023, he climbed 14 places in the DJ Mag Top 100, where he ranked 25th.

In just a few years he became one of the most visible DJs globally, with residencies in the world’s biggest clubs, Hï Ibiza or The Wynn (Las Vegas), but also with live appearances at the biggest festivals, over 150 events in one year, details that cemented his status as an icon in the electronic music industry. Black Coffee broke musical barriers, managing to combine, in his songs, traditional African percussion and techno sound, the result being a new style in electronic music, “Afropolitan House”.

At the end of 2023, Black Coffee was named “Man Of The Year” by the British publication GQ, had the first sold-out show by a South African artist in Madison Square Garden and was awarded a Grammy Award in the category “Best Dance/Electronic Music Album” for “Subconsciously”. Recently, Black Coffee also produced Drake’s 7th studio album, “Honestly, Nevermind” and took on the role of executive music producer on the movie “God Is A DJ” directed by Hicham Hajji.

Black Coffee’s uniqueness is also reflected in the way he dresses, he uses outfits that give him a distinctive and refined look as well as his DJ sets, for the sold-out show in Madison Square Garden he hired the fashion designer Mike Amiri who created a custom outfit for her. After the huge success of the event in New York, Black Coffee was invited as a speaker at Harvard Business College in Boston.

Many times considered the best DJ in the world, a title awarded by the community of dance culture fans, but also by the prestigious specialist publications, DJ Mag or Mixmag, Carl Cox was part of the dance school in Great Britain, from the beginning of the disco era, to date. He experimented with everything from breakbeat, disco, hip-hop, Italian house to hard techno. His versatile approach to the techno sound has placed him on the short list of the most respected artists in the electronic music industry. Productions like “I Want You (Forever)”, “Phoebus Apollo” or “The Player” have become “anthems” in the underground culture.

Paul Nicholas Fisher, known by the stage name FISHER, the Australian DJ and producer who managed to conquer the electronic music scene with a unique and fresh sound, will arrive at the UNTOLD festival for the first time. FISHER’s distinctive style, combined with his charismatic presence, have made him a favorite of major clubs and festivals around the world. “Losing It” was an international success, was certified Gold and Platinum for record sales, was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Dance Recording”, and received praise for its innovative sound.

He is one of the most acclaimed artists of the melodic house & techno genre, his name is Solomun and he is the DJ who had a spectacular live for 3 hours @ Galaxy Stage during the anniversary edition of UNTOLD festival, 2019 edition. He was awarded in DJ Awards in the categories “Best Producer”, “Best DJ”, “Best Melodic House DJ”, and the readers of Mixmag magazine voted him “DJ of The Year”.
