Ceiling Collapse Injures 70-Year-Old Woman in Bucharest Supermarket

A section of the ceiling of a supermarket in Bucharest collapsed, on Thursday, on top of a 70-year-old woman. The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and ten other people left the premises. The shop was closed.

According to ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, the incident occurred at a supermarket on Liviu Rebreanu street. There, a piece of the ceiling came off, on a portion of approximately two square meters, which fell on a person.

“The victim (a 70-year-old woman) was taken by a medical team, in a state of consciousness, later being transported to the Pantelimon Hospital, with minor injuries. The other 10 people got out without any problems, and the store was closed,” said the quoted source.
