ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Arbor Day Friday with its ‘Let’s Plant Albuquerque’ event at Civic Plaza.
The department is planting eight trees near Civic Plaza in downtown Albuquerque and giving away 50 trees for community members to plant themselves. Officials will speak on how trees can support economic activity, cool the downtown area and provide other quality of life benefits. The event will kick off at 10 a.m.
