Coachella 2024: Heineken House brings the party and the dance floor

The Heineken House has made a name for itself at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and this year it really stepped up its game bringing its own party with big crowds hitting the dance floor.

The venue features unique guests during the festival’s two weekends with notable rappers and DJs, such as T-Pain, Fat Joe and Bob Sinclar.

Before the sun went down, the area offered chill vibes and room on the dance floor to bust whatever moves came to mind. In a nearby area where colorful cushions were stacked together for seating, people came to rest and find shade as they listened to DJ sets. Some even napped on the pillows as the music played. Others took advantage of the bar that was available and free of long lines.

Once temperatures dropped, Jaron Burnett of Toronto was among the fans that overcame the long line that went beyond the organized railing to help pack the small and intimate venue to watch Channel Tres and Fat Joe on Saturday.

Tres, a Compton native who played before Fat Joe, had the crowd dancing to “I Wanna Be Your Lover” by Elicit and singing along to Frank Ocean’s “Pink + White.”

“I’ve been a fan of Tres for a few years and I love his mix of dance and hip hop,” Burnett said. “But Joe is just very nostalgic for me. I remember him from as early as my high school days.”

Burnett made the trip from Toronto along with his friend Tara Cole to attend his seventh festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

“He introduced me to Tres,” Cole said of her friend. “I am a little younger so Fat Joe is a little older for me, but we are both just as excited to see him.”

Coachella is all about finding new music, for Brian Ramos, but he couldn’t miss Fat Joe, the Heineken House’s exclusive Weekend 2 headliner. T-Pain performed as the venue’s headliner on April 13.

“I came looking for new artists,” Ramos said. “But when I saw Fat Joe’s name on the lineup board outside yesterday I was so excited. I was hyped and felt like a little kid.”

Ramos was no stranger to Fat Joe’s music catalog, that started over 30 years ago, as he was able to rattle off every one of his albums, such as “Don Cartagena” and “The Elephant in the Room.”

“I’ve been following him for a long time and know all of his stuff,” an energetic Ramos said before the show.” I don’t know if he will play all the songs I want him to play but it will be good. I’m going right to the very front. I’m hoping to meet him.”

Joe played some of his most notable songs including “Lean Back, “What’s Luv?” and “All The Way UP.”

Sinclar, a French DJ, was the Friday headliner for both weekends.

He had several in the crowd letting loose and moving all across the dance floor and grass area with his set list that included some of his own tracks “World Hold On,” “Rock This Party” and “Feel The Vibe.”

Rapper Lupe Fiasco will return to the stage as Sunday’s headliner at 7:15 p.m.
