EDGEWOOD, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) and Bernalillo County Fire Rescue are responding to a propane truck rollover on NM 217 near Manzano Springs. They have closed Gonzales Road in both directions.
Propane is actively leaking from the truck, but there are currently no evacuations tied to the rollover. Wind is dissipating the leaked propane, AFR says, and residents should stay clear of the area.
State Police is also on the scene to investigate. Two individuals from within the rolled truck have been taken to the hospital, one with critical injuries and the other with serious injuries, AFR says. The response team is trying to transfer propane from the rolled truck into another truck, AFR adds.
