The episode starts with Shuro confronting Laois and expressing his displeasure over Falin’s current situation. Shuro says he is disappointed with Laois’s attitude, not his use of black magic. He then tells Laois that he won’t be able to help them anymore. However, their discussions are interrupted by Chilchuck, who warns them that the cooking crew is being attacked.
Kabru and Laois then meet to discuss what to do while Shuro investigates the attack on the cooking team. Chilchuk goes to warn Marcille of Shuro’s suggestion to destroy her staff, but before they can respond, a body falls next to them. They then spot Falin from a distance with her bird-shaped appearance, which shocks everyone. Despite killing two of his allies, Shuro still asks that no one hurt her.
Rin strikes Falin with electricity while Laois goes to finish her off, believing she is too far gone. However, she calls out to him, which makes him hesitate, but Kabru attacks her. Falin’s attack leaves everyone battered, and some even dead, before leaving.
Episode 17 of Delicious in Dungeon then sees Marcille reviving Maizaru, who then starts to revive everyone. Shuro then confronts her, accusing her of turning Falin into a chimera with black magic. He tries to turn her into the Western elves, which makes him and Laois trade blows. The episode ends with Laois and his party venturing forward into the dungeon.
