Fake kNOw More: Unique Approach to Combat Youth Misinformation
“Fake kNOw More”: a unique approach to combat misinformation among young people The ADFABER association launches the “Fake kNOw More” program, a dedicated initiative combating misinformation among young people, by developing self-awareness. The purpose of this international program, carried out in collaboration with the Demagog Association (Poland), Fakescape (Czech Republic), Smilemundo (Spain) and supported by EMIF, is to help young people recognize and protect themselves from misinformation using methods innovative and interactive educational.
The “Fake kNOw More” program focuses on understanding emotions, language and a personal experiences and how they influence the way young people perceive and react to information. Through various resources, tested in the pilot phase, such as a manual about emotions and misinformation, an engaging educational game and materials video, the program aims to encourage critical thinking and highlight awareness of the impact of social media on the well-being of children and young people.
What does it offer the “Fake kNOw More” program?

● An educational handbook: Complete guide with materials for working with children and youth based on emotions and their impact on vulnerability to misinformation.

● Educational game: An interactive resource to help children and young people understand and learn about misinformation in an engaging way.
● Training for teachers: Dedicated sessions to support teachers in effective implementation of program materials in the educational process.
● Video materials: Visual resources to facilitate teaching and understanding concepts related to disinformation and critical thinking.
The program is intended for young people from various social and cultural backgrounds, with an emphasis on disadvantaged groups. Teachers, educators from therapeutic centers, community centers, informal educational settings and schools are invited to join the initiative and use materials and tools provided to make a significant difference in combat against disinformation.

● Official launch of the program in Romania: April 2
● Registration of teachers in the program: April 2 – 18
● Teachers’ participation in the training: April 19 – April 27
● Implementation of the program in the classroom: May 9 – June 6
