Gas truck rollover in southern Colorado prompts evacuations

COLORADO (KRQE) — A gas truck has rolled over, officials with La Plata County, Colorado, said. The incident happened near the northern border of New Mexico.

Authorities said fire crews responded to a rollover incident involving a liquid natural gas truck in the 31000 block of Highway 160. It’s near Elmore’s Corner and CR 225A.

Homes were evacuated, and the highway was closed. Traffic is being detoured to CR 234 and CR 225A.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
