ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Cesar Contreras-Diaz pleaded guilty to seven charges in front of Judge Britt Baca-Miller Thursday. The charges stem from an incident where a woman was shot in the face while driving near Central and Juan Tabo in Albuquerque.
According to a criminal complaint, Elora Manuelito, Christopher Rivera, Kylie Crooke and Contreras-Diaz were driving when they got cut off by a van. They became upset and started shooting. The victim who was hit and lost an eye, was driving a completely different vehicle.
Under the plea agreement, Contreras-Diaz faces up to 21 years behind bars. Crooke and Manuelito have also taken plea deals and face up to nine years behind bars. Rivera pleaded not guilty to his charges, a trial date has not been set.
