Lomita woman tied to a Harbor-area gang pleads guilty to drug and gun charges

LOS ANGELES — A reputed gang associate from Lomita pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal narcotics and gun charges.

Patricia Amelia Limon, 54, entered her plea to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine and engaging in the business of dealing firearms without a license, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Federal prosecutors contend Limon was an associate of a Los Angeles Harbor-area gang, known to commit crime under the direction and authority of the Mexican Mafia prison gang.

Court papers state that from October 2022 to February 2023, Limon fulfilled drug and firearm deals under the direction of a Mexican Mafia associate imprisoned on Death Row. Limon personally, and at least once through an intermediary, also supplied methamphetamine, fentanyl, firearms and ammunition to a buyer and collected money on behalf of the imprisoned gang member, prosecutors say.

In one deal on Nov. 2, 2022, Limon supplied 5,000 rainbow-colored fentanyl pills to a buyer for $5,300. Fifteen days later, Limon supplied 3.8 pounds of methamphetamine and 2,000 fentanyl pills to a buyer for $5,000. Prosecutors say Limon engaged in other illicit sales of fentanyl and firearms, court papers show.

Limon will face between 10 years and life imprisonment at sentencing on Sept. 11 in downtown Los Angeles.
