A 69-year-old man was left critically injured Thursday night after a vehicle struck him and did not stop on the Southwest Side, Chicago police said.
About 11:20 p.m., the man was on the street in the 2000 block of South California Avenue when a vehicle traveling south struck him and did not stop, police said.
The man suffered major trauma to the head and body, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The Major Accident Investigation Unit was investigating.
