Guiang was taken to the hospital for neck and back injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening. An officer spoke to Guiang at the hospital, and he reportedly told the officer that he consumed cannabis earlier in the day, court documents stated. Guiang was unable to complete sobriety testing at the hospital “due to his immobility,” the responding officer noted.

Guiang also allegedly told the officer that he was driving at a high rate of speed southbound on Unser when he approached a “sharp turn and lost control of the vehicle and crashed,” according to court documents.

Guiang was arrested for two counts of homicide by vehicle (driving while intoxicated), court records showed. Police are investigating the crash and have not identified the victims as of the time of this publication.
