Man, who was a Farmington officer, takes plea deal after being arrested for DWI with kids in car

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Farmington police officer who was pulled over for driving drunk with his kids in the car has taken a plea deal.

Robert Shuttleworth was arrested back in February by San Juan County Sheriff’s deputies after blowing a .27 blood alcohol level.

Deputies had to help Shuttleworth stand to prevent him from falling. Shuttleworth’s two kids were inside the vehicle at the time.

Shuttleworth recently took a plea deal, pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle.

As part of the agreement, Shuttleworth was sentenced to 364 days of probation.
